Recording Will Morgan Live Concert

EASRecording travelled to Brewood in Staffordshire to record a live concert, performed by folk singer and guitarist Will Morgan. The concert was a tribute to the works of Jake Thackray, and was such a success that an additional concert was held to accommodate all those that were unable to obtain tickets the first time round! The recording used a mobile set-up, based around an Apple laptop running Logic, and a Focusrite Saffire Pro fed by various Rode microphones. EASRecording also provided the live mixing for the event. A CD is to be produced for release in the New Year.

Live Concert at Ty Siamas for Children In Need

On a bitterly cold morning we stood outside the doors of Ty Siamas in Dolgellau to warm the crowd with various renditions of traditional and original folk and blues songs, which got slower and slower as it got colder....

Overall the event was very successful, raising a considerable amount of money for charity.

Recording Aran Hall School Carols

EASR recorded Christmas Carols at Ty Siamas for Aran Hall special needs School. There was an excellent turnout and the choir was supported by various percussion instruments and guitars. The recordings will be put to CD in time for Christmas.

Live Concert at Ty Siamas

As well as being a recording engineer, I am also a musician, playing guitar with singer/songwriter Kevin Arnold, formerly part of the group Take Two who established themselves in the Midlands. Making use of the superb-sounding auditorium at Ty Siamas, a night of traditional folk and blues music ensued. This was followed by the band Fribo, who are a 3 piece band performing Norwegian folk music combined with Scottish tunes. The gig was recorded for good measure.

Recording local folk artist

Working in conjunction with Ty Siamas, Dolgellau, EASRecording has been recording an album with Col Jones, a local folk artist. The album is entitled 'Grandma's Rocking Chair'. EASR also designed all album artwork and handled license applications with the MCPS as well as manufacture arrangements.

Tape Restoration

EASRecording handles a cassette tape restoration project in order to preserve audio logs of a famous Wolves football match and 'Memories of Wheaton Aston' by Joe Riley, the results of which are to be used in a presentation/exhibition of Wheaton Aston's history.

Live mixing for Sesiwn Fawr at Ty Siamas

The Sesiwn Fawr festival is one of Wales' largest music festivals. EASRecording provided a live mixing and recording service for the afternoon sessions held at Ty Siamas, Dolgellau. Artists included Sesh, Sarn, Pigyn Clust, Cowbois Celtaidd, Heather Jones and Davy Spillane & Paul Dooley.

EASRecording set up in Dolgellau to provide studio and mobile sound recording facilities, working in collaboration with Ty Siamas (www.tysiamas.com). Production and editing also provided on a range of audio products.

The recording company will cater largely for musicians within Gwynedd county and North Wales, as well as the West Midlands and anyone willing to travel!

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and the company. I am a graduate of Lancaster University, having completed a degree in Music Technology. I am an experienced recording engineer and have worked with individual artists, rock bands, folk groups and classical soloists, as well as providing recordings for big band, brass band, wind band, swing group, choir and symphony orchestra ensembles. I have also worked in a range of venues from small practice rooms to churches, concert halls and commercial studios.
